Operation Theatre Technician

We are a multi specialty hospital with Major and Minor OTs. We are looking for a skilled and experienced OT Technician to join our hospital. As an OT Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining operating theatres and equipment, assisting surgical and anaesthetic teams during surgeries, and providing support to recovering patients.

To be successful as an OT Technician, you should have a diploma or degree in operation theatre technology, good knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. You should also be able to follow instructions, work under pressure, and adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
• Responsibilities:

- Transport patients to and from the operating theatre

- Prepare the operating room for surgery by setting up, checking, connecting and adjusting surgical equipment

- Provide technical assistance to surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and other staff during the surgery

- Monitor equipment and transfer operating instruments to the surgeon as required

- Clean the patient and the operating table after the surgery

- Dispose of any residual materials properly

- Clean and restock the operating room

- Arrange instruments, supplies and equipment according to instructions

- Position patients for surgery

- Maintain operation theatre records
• Requirements:

- Diploma or degree in operation theatre technology from a recognised institution

- Minimum one year of experience as an OT Technician in a reputed hospital

- Good knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to follow instructions, work under pressure, and adhere to safety and hygiene standards
