JOB TITLE: SQL DBA

INDUSTRY: BANKING

LOCATION: NAVI MUMBAI.

Function: Data Center Services

Role : Execution / Lead / Senior Mgmt

Education / Qualifications:

BE/Btech/BSc IT or MCA

Job Role & Responsibility:

· Installation, configuration and upgrading of SQL standard / Ent. and related products. This includes installation, configuration and administration of high availability / cluster environments

· Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.

· Time to time policy review. Ensure all regulatory compliance with respect DB are met.

· Take care of the Database design and implementation. Ensure baseline configuration.

· Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).

· Work as part of a team and provide 24×7 support when required

· Day to day activities as per the checklist

· Perform technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.

· Interface with OEM for technical support.

· Regular DB monitoring and administration

· Coordination with all the support teams for day to day activity and during incidence, problem, Change, release management

· Coordination for audits (Internal and external) and - Closure of audit findings based on the agreed dates

· Management of database backup, and integration with backup software

· Daily, weekly, monthly and annual data backup and restoration

· Partial/full data/database instance restoration

· Maintenance of documents (SOP, SMP, Backup / recovery etc.) as per the Bank standards

· Perform Recovery procedures when DR is invoked

· Patch Management and Version Control.

· Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.

· Ownership for the DR Drill – Ensure the Data movement from Prod to DR and back without any data loss.

· Integrate backup and recovery Processes into the Business Continuity Plan

Skill set:

· Good Knowledge in Windows and OS Linux

· Good Knowledge in SQL Standard and Ent. DB

· Very good understanding of Core database architecture and concepts+

· 7+ years dedicated DB experience

· Good knowledge on DAM, Pointing of logs to SIEM and monitoring tool

· Capable to support Level 2Plus.
