Job Description:
We are looking for a Content Writer / Editor to join our editorial team for our upcoming Industry News and Events website, especially for the steel, Infra, and Metal sectors.
As a Steel Content Writer and Editor, you will be responsible for creating and editing high-quality content related to the above-mentioned industries. Your main objective is to produce engaging informative, and accurate content that educates and informs readers about the latest trends, news, and developments in the industries. Your content will be published on various platforms, including our website, blogs, social media, and marketing materials.
The Candidate shall be responsible for the aggregation of Industrial content, daily price charts, indexes, etc., and upload on the website in both details and summary. The Content Writer's responsibilities also include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, across various global websites, generating ideas for new content types, and proofreading articles before publication.
Responsibilities:
• Researching and writing content related to the steel industry, including news, trends, and developments.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of the content.
• Editing and proofreading content to ensure it meets the highest standards of grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Managing content schedules and deadlines to ensure timely publication of materials.
• Developing and implementing content strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Optimizing content for search engines and ensuring it is engaging and shareable on social media.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and news in the steel industry.
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
• Experience writing and editing content related to the Steel, Metal, and Infrastructure industry.
• Knowledge of the industries, including their history, trends, and current developments.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills mainly in English.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Ability to meet deadlines
