Position : Lead Software Engineer - JAVA

We are looking for “Lead Software Engineer” to lead our engineering team and help us build great products. You will also manage our infrastructure and ensure all internal systems operate securely and effectively. To be successful in this role, you should be confident managing our teams while, at the same time, setting goals, budgets and timelines for various projects. In this role you are also in charge of our integrations with external partners and oversee all software development plans from ideation to execution.

Responsibilities
• Hire and build a globally-distributed, happy, and successful engineering team.
• Managing a team of 7-15 Engineers.
• Closely work with the product team to transform the product roadmap to engineering plan.
• Convert high-level engineering plan into an agile sprint plan with accurate effort estimation ensuring smooth and timely delivery of the project.
• Manage a team of software engineers and technical leads from various disciplines such as frontend, backend, and QA.
• Plan and execute long term strategies that benefit your team and the product stage(s).
• Understand Engineering KPIs and seek to improve them.
• Conduct managerial interviews for candidates.
• Generate and implement process improvements, especially cross-team processes.

Requirements ( Expertise and Experience )
• Minimum experience of 5-10 years in Software industry
• Extensive hands-on development with Java Spring Boot, Web services, Spring frameworks, JavaScript
• Hands on experience in Microservices architecture
• Hands on experience on Oracle / Mysql / MongoDB
• Hand on experience Redis / Caching Layer implementation
• Hands on experience on Azure / AWS
• Exposure to front end design (CSSHTML5, REACT)
• Extensive hand-on with design patterns and coming up with right patterns for right use cases
• Code quality tools, Review, test and debut team member's code
• Experience in Strangler pattern
• Design database architecture
• Schedule product releases with internal teams, Document development phases, ensure the applications are secure and up to date
• Proficient on API documentation tools/framework such as Postman, Swagger.
• Adaptive to Start-up culture and fast paced growing environment.
• CI / CD knowledge would be added advantage
