Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties
· Design new engineering products and processes
· Collaborate with internal team members to produce the best and most efficient designs and deliver the requirement in a timely manner.
· Connect with vendors, manufacturers and subcontractors in order to achieve goals within set timelines.
· Preparation of testing protocols for design systems and equipment.
· Craft models and drawings of products using CAD
· Analyze prototype data and retest if needed, research new product ideas and methods
· Improve existing products and processes
· Ensure compliance with the industry's safety standards
· Maintain accurate records, write detailed reports
· Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
· Find creative design solutions to problems, present prototypes and designs to team and project

Skills and Qualifications
· Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems that are in the R&D stage.
· Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
· Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
· Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
· Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
· Knowledge in the energy generation and management field.
· Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
· Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
· Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
· Supervising or training project team members.
· Estimating material, Labour, or construction costs for budget preparation.
· Maintaining electrical equipment.
· Can create data sheets, technical specifications, technical requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for various electrical equipment.
· Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
· Attention to detail.
Key Skills
· AutoCAD
· Knowledge of IEC standard
· MS Excel / Word
· Knowledge of Electrical power generation technology
· Working experience in renewable energy fields like Solar PV, Wind energy or thermal, hydel energy power plants.
· Experience in power generation and management field.
· Knowledge of control panel wiring and load distribution panel wiring
· Good knowledge of various sensors.
· Knowledge of power management and automation will be beneficial
· Experience with motors and alternators.
· Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software.· Proficient in design and calculation software
