The Position

Position Title: Data Engineer

Location: Chennai or Hyderabad

Overall Job Purpose

As a Data Engineer/ETL Developer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data flows end-to-end from transactional source systems to global Roche analytics environments and data lakes. Roche Services and Solutions (RSS) is a global division with regional presence in Switzerland, India, Hungary, Costa Rica and Malaysia. What you'll be working on

As a Data Engineer/ETL Developer , you will be expected to
• Develop and maintain jobs (using Talend, AWS Glue) for loading data from different transactional sources SAP, ServiceNow) to our reporting environment based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake
• Raise issues and collaborate with Informatics colleagues on troubleshooting issues related to jobs, connections, and the Talend/AWS/Snowflake setup.
• Partner with colleagues, peers and stakeholders globally, and work on initiatives and projects in different regions and time zones.
• Collaborate in an agile and cross-functional team with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers as well as business experts.
• Participate in exploratory projects to evaluate new technologies and establish new services.

• Education: Bachelor Degree (Masters is a plus) ideally in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or information science.
• 2+ years of practical experience focusing on developing and managing data flows with data loading tools (such as Talend or AWS Glue) are mandatory
• 2+ years of practical experience developing and maintaining Java code
• Strong team player with interpersonal skills and strong collaborative and solution-focused mindset
• English is a must, additional languages a plus
