Group/Division

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description

The GSS organization's Engineering group develops data systems for improved diagnostics and predictive maintenance. These monitor the performance of fleets of KLA equipment in semiconductor fabrication plant environments. They collect, transform, and store data. They provide visualizations, recommendations based on analytics, and alerts. This position offers outstanding opportunities to interact with a wide variety of engineers and KLA system health data, and shape the future of KLA data analytics!

Responsibilities
• Lead and encourage team members to achieve software product excellence in quality, reliability, user experience, and functionality
• Track and coordinate development activities
• Analyze project data to improve future project scoping capabilities
• Work with various technical and marketing functions as needed to document product requirements, integrate features, and validate designs
• Manage performance, mentor, and plan for career development of team members

Qualifications:
• Eight Plus Years of Experience or more in Developing complex software applications
• Two years of experience contributing to and leading successful software projects
• Experience with managing the Software Development Life Cycle and process workflow or other software life cycles; Agile experience preferred
• Technical expertise in one or more programming language (C#/Java/C++/Python)
• Excellent software design/implementation capabilities
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Motivated to learn new skills independently
• Methodical, organized, problem-solver

Desirable:

Experience with any of the following technical areas is helpful: multi-threaded and multi-core software application programming, UML methodology, web development, database systems (SQL/NoSQL), working with modern open-source tools for distributed computing (Apache Spark, Kafka, Redis, Hadoop), building distributed RESTful web services, development with Service Oriented Architecture Design and implementation for large scale systems, source code and software requirements management (using a tool such as Azure DevOps), and building or troubleshooting semiconductor equipment, scientific instruments or other mechanical, electrical, and/or optical systems.

Minimum Qualifications
• 10+ Years of Experience in Product Engineering Companies
• Minimum of 2+ Years in Managerial Role
