Job Responsibilities:

Looking for talented analytics engineer to help build our next-generation data platform to support credit and identity protection products and services. The analytics engineering role pulls from several disciplines including software engineering, data engineering, ML engineering, and DevOps. The ideal candidate should be well-rounded, self-motivated, experienced with multiple technologies and frameworks, and enjoy fast-paced development cycles. The role will collaborate with staff in San Diego, Phoenix, Austin, London, and Costa Mesa and across Experian divisions.
• The primary job role will be the migration, modification and/or rewriting of hundreds of ETLs processes into a new data architecture and data lake while supporting the ongoing maintenance of current ETLs.
• The secondary job role will be supporting the software development of new identity protection microservices.
• The tertiary job role will be supporting the design and development of new analytical data models to support direct consumers and client reporting.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of design and development software experience with a heavy focus on building ETLs (extract-transform-load) processes using Python.
• 3+ years of experience building data services in AWS
• 3+ years of experience with Python development
• 3+ years of experience with Perl development
• 3+ years of experience with development using relational databases
• 3+ years of experience with Java development
• Experience with source control systems, such as SVN or GIT
• Excellent proactive communications and planning skills
• Experience working with large data sets
• Collaborate with Business, Software Engineers, and QA teams.
• Participate in the full SDLC using Agile including scrum meetings, iterative, test-driven development, task estimates, and design sessions
• Participate in On Call Rotation to handle technical issues escalated to the team as needed

Bonus skills:
• Financial Services or Identity Protection Services industry experience
• AWS S3, AWS Dynamo DB, AWS Aurora, or Redshift experience
• Jenkins experience

Education:

BS Degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or related field.
