Senior Manager | Engineering | EdTech Industry

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to manage our highly agile engineering and technology teams . This role will report into the CTO/ Engineering Director and holds the primary responsibility of managing the implementation of the product and platform road map leveraging cutting edge technology solutions.

Key Activities Responsibilities
• You will take an active role in leading a cross functional team, within a product development organization, focused on driving execution from definition through successful release and transfer to services/customers.
• As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will plan, lead, and manage multiple engineering teams and releases.
• You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment to deliver high quality software product against aggressive schedules.
• You will have an equal contribution to organization strategy in defining the futuristic vision and to execute the road map leading the technology teams.
• You will Collaborate with platform and infrastructure engineering teams to ensure the apps operate at scale and meet security requirements.
• You are expected to iterate with our UX and Product teams in an agile environment to bring features from conception to launch
• You are expected to have a very strong understanding of the full stack Cloud and SAAS technologies and will be able to provide hands-on support when the engineering teams look up to you for guidance.

Qualifications And Experience

12+ years of experience in Software Engineering with at least 4 years as an engineering/product manager in a product development environment.

Must haves• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools including Jira, Confluence or similar
• Ability and expertise in defining and validating product development methodologies and processes
• Ability to define the KPIs to measure the performance and velocity of the engineering teams
• Proven ability to recruit high performance talent
• High technical credibility - ability to audit technical decisions and push for the best solution to a problem.
• Good knowledge and hands-on expertise in managing product and engineering teams and deliver the services in SAAS model.
• Prior experience in leading and managing large enterprise teams that constitute a combination of architects, senior developers, and junior team members.
• Experience dealing with multiple vendors and partners to optimize and extract maximum leverage.
• Good understanding and knowledge in any of the following technologies
• AWS Dev-ops life cycle
• Expertise in any of the programming environments including Java, Python, JavaScript/Node JS
• Well versed with API Integration and Microservices based architecture
• SQL, NoSQL or Graph databases
• Experience in developing Enterprise Software using Agile Methodology.
• A track record of setting and achieving high standards
• Strong understanding of modern technology architecture
• Strong Educational background, you must be having a graduate / master's degree from one of the premium educational institutes including IIT/NIT or similar.
