Senior Executive cost accounting qualifications and skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required • 7+ years’ experience in general accounting or cost accounting • General familiarity with the apparel industry preferred • Experience in a manufacturing industry • Candidate with CA, CWA & CMA degree will be considered Job description Cost accounting managers must have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills. Businesses seek individuals with at least five years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. An accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA), as well as a master’s degree in business administration (MBA), are highly valued. Duties and Responsibility • Developing cost standards for materials and labour • Designing and implementing cost accounting systems • Analysing production costs and recommending changes • Overseeing annual physical inventory • training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff • Analysing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization • Performing month-end cost accounting close • Maintaining cost accounting system and cost ledger • Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis • Analysing inventory valuations • Monitoring unit cost variance • Implementing cost standards for materials and labour • Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports • Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock • Review rates of depreciation, labour and overhead and suggest policy changes to improve numbers • Classify costs accurately • Generate PPV reports and analyse findings • Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate • Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets • Analyses costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors If interested please contact us at +1-+811577860 and send your resume with current / expected salary and notice period.
