As a member of the Platform Engineering team, the Site Reliability Engineer will enable the engineering teams to scale our infrastructure, platform and internal developer tooling of multiple global digital products being developed within Carrier Digital. This role will work on a range of software products critical to Carrier’s continued business growth. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be working with a team of engineers to implement and support modern software delivery systems.

Primary Responsibilities

Work with other Site Reliability Engineers to implement and maintain scalable, reliable, performant, and efficient systems.
Help the team to continuously improve our operating processes.
Promote site reliability best-practices to ensure platform resiliency, performance, and cost-optimization.
Implement site reliability solutions based on the goals and requirements set forth by leadership, SLI and SLO
Required Experience

At least 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering
At least 2 years of experience programming in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Python
At least 2 years of experience supporting applications.
At least 2 years of experience providing on-call support.
At least 2 years of experience delivering infrastructure as code.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
Additional Skills: Experience in one or more of the following:

Experience delivering cloud native solutions.
Experience in –
SRE best practices
Application Performance Monitoring
Microservice Architectures
Infrastructure as Code
Basic understanding of SRE concepts, such as Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives
Trunk based development.
Some experience in –
Application Testing
DevOps
SecOps
AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
AWS Management, Security, Scalability, Reliability, Cost Optimization
Education and Certifications

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
AWS Certified Developer - Associate
JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and React experience.
