Java Developer| Senior Manager

PRoSE is a Portfolio Construction and Rebalancing system used by SSGA Portfolio managers to manage the Liability Driven Investment (LDI) and solutions portfolios for rebalancing, managing exposures and client overlay strategies for commingled, separately managed and externally managed funds. This solution provides predefined trade rebalancing algorithms and future considerations helping the PMs on investment decisions. It interacts with trading, holdings, compliance, risk, custom benchmarks, funding ratio monitors, portfolio optimizer and various applications.
Who we are looking for
SSGA is looking for a Strong Java candidate with 10+ of experience in Java and Database technologies contributed in Development and Maintenance of large scale finance applications. The candidate will own the middle ware and backend deliverables of the PRoSE system, in Java and Oracle platform. Candidate should have experience working in JBoss (Linux) environment and worked on scheduled jobs. IT deliverables include technical design (high level & low level), estimation, development, deployment and technical support. The candidate should also have been part of cloud and other migration projects.
What the candidate will be responsible for
Candidate should have sound Knowledge and hands on experience on Java, Springboot, and Restful services
Candidate should be ready to work on small development projects along with Production support assignments.
Design, Development and Release the Java and backend components
Writing RESTFul services, DAO components, Business rules, integration to inbound and outbound systems
Handle the middleware component deployments in JBoss and scheduled deployments in Linux environment
Lead the Cloud migration efforts in PRoSE
Review and support peer deliverables
Provide technical support in analyzing production issues L3/L4 to ensure the uninterrupted services to the business
Be a technical mentor for the junior team members
Effective collaboration with the Boston, Business counterparts and other application teams
Skills and Experience
10+ years of experience in IT industry
Proven strong programming experience as middleware and backend developer (java & database), preferably working on low latency, high throughput, globally distributed systems
Experience working within a financial institution, preferably Front Office IT, with exposure to the business
Good experience in JBoss Server
Solid experience in Unix / Linux environment
Experience in Technology migration projects including Cloud migration
Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills
