Experience: 2 to 3 years mandatory

A lift supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of elevators (also known as lifts) in a building or facility. Their main duties typically include:

Monitoring and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of elevators.

Supervising elevator technicians and maintenance staff.

Conducting regular inspections of elevators to identify any maintenance or repair needs.

Coordinating with technicians and contractors for repairs and maintenance work.

Responding to emergency situations, such as elevator breakdowns or trapped passengers, and coordinating appropriate actions.

Enforcing safety regulations and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Keeping records of elevator maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Training elevator operators and other staff on proper elevator use and safety protocols.

Interacting with building occupants and addressing their concerns or inquiries regarding elevators.

To be an effective lift supervisor, one should have a strong understanding of elevator systems, their components, and safety protocols. Good communication and problem-solving skills are also important, as they need to coordinate with various stakeholders, including technicians, building management, and occupants. Additionally, a lift supervisor should be able to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
