Customer Site Reliability Engineer

Job Title: Customer Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)- Night Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Customer facing SRE, you will be responsible for working directly with our clients to deliver highly available and scalable solutions using DevOps practices. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer and expertise in Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, PostgreSQL, MSK, Kafka, RDS, and AWS.


Key Responsibilities:

Work directly with clients to understand their requirements and design highly available and scalable solutions.
Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS services such as RDS, MSK, and EC2.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other automation tools.
Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python to automate common tasks.
Deploy and manage PostgreSQL and other databases to ensure high availability and data consistency.
Deploy and manage Kafka clusters to ensure data streaming and real-time processing.
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
Participate in on-call rotations to respond to critical incidents and resolve issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
Write necessary installation qualification documentation that is standard in Life Sciences industry.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years working in an engineering organization.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
Strong expertise in Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, PostgreSQL, MSK, Kafka, RDS, and AWS.
Comfortable with deployments and automation of deployments.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience in Life Sciences and writing the required installation qualification documentation is desired.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
Excellent English verbal communication skills
Ability to work 6 pm to 3 am IST.
