Firmware Development Engineer

The India Tech Centre takes care of Product development with detailed design, technology and product platform support. The position is responsible for developing the embedded software for Solar controllers using expert level knowledge of electronics, and process developments.

What is the job about?
• Experience in Firmware design and development using Embedded C language
• Experience in developing Embedded Software using C for various microcontrollers 8/16/32. Preferably Renesas controllers.
• Experience in developing motor control algorithm (FOC) for PMSM/BLDC/induction motors
• Knowledge in bus communications like MODBUS, RS485, UART, I2C, PWM, CAN and SPI etc
• Ability to understand the device functionality, Customer System requirements and arrive at the System Specifications, Software requirements
• Derive the SW HLD and LLD from SW requirement specifications
• Review the SW development artifacts (SRS, HLD, LLD, Source Code, Test Specs Reports)
• Define the functional and non-functional requirements for SW Architecture
• Analyse the HW schematic, debug software defects, and provide solutions for the issues
• Define Unit, Integration and functional test strategy to ensure SW quality
• Hands on experience in using equipment’s like Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyser’s, Power Analysers and Current Probes etc.
• Very Good exposure to Software development life cycle process
• Experience in developing interfaces with IOT devices is a plus
• Experience MATLAB simulations
• Should be active team player and able to co-ordinate with cross functional teams Electrical and Mechanical
• Experience in detailed analysis, feasibility studies, performance analysis and prototyping, use of different protocol analyzer tools
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

What’s in it for you?
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 12+ years of relevant experience preferably from electrical/electronics industry
• Knowledge of designing scontrollersoller is an advantage
• Preferably working in Design & Development in Solar & Grid Input based Motor Drives from 1HP to 20HP, Grid tied Inverters & Control Simulations
