Sr| PHP Developer

Summary

The Sowedane Software Engineer II reports directly to the Lead Developer and is responsible for designing, developing, and improving software subcomponents using proprietary PHP tools within an agile software development methodology.

Essential Duties

Modify software to fix errors, create new functionality, improve performance, upgrade interfaces, or implement required modifications for new customers while adhering to SOWEDANE coding standards and policies.
Perform unit testing to ensure high quality product free of bugs.
Assist with system testing and validation procedures.
Responsible for accurately estimating tickets and tracking actual time spent.
May assist with code review tasks.
Consult with lead developer, business analyst and project manager on project status, design and estimates.
Attend and contribute to the daily scrum stand-up meetings.
Attend and contribute to the estimation round meetings.
Work successfully in a team environment with other engineers and departments.
Assist with the creation/review of company processes and procedures relating to software engineering.
Actively support the company’s Entrepreneurial Operation System (EOS) efforts.
Understand, embrace, and embody the company core values.
Actively pursue and research learning opportunities, trends, and potential changes in areas of responsibility to keep skills current and relevant.
Adapt to other duties as assigned and prioritize, organize, and plan work as needed to meet objectives.
Requirements – Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge

Three to four years of software engineering experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Working knowledge of PHP7, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
Experience with SQL database (PostgreSQL preferred).
Code review and unit testing experience required.
Knowledge of Agile software methodology and scrum processes, practices, and framework.
Ability and willingness to follow industry and SOWEDANE specific coding guidelines.
Knowledge of network communications desired.
Ability to learn quickly and creatively solve problems within the SOWEDANE framework.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with internal and external partners.
Must be passionate and motivated about on-time and high-quality delivery.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to fit in to the SOWEDANE culture and embody SOWEDANE’s core values.

Salary: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
