SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for high calibre software engineers to work on the system test planning, definition and test execution for software / firmware running on 10G/40G/50G/100G network controllers.

The role will involve understanding the system, defining test cases, test execution strategy, executing test cases and automation of test cases.

THE PERSON:

The candidate should have worked extensively at the testing of embedded Datacom products (especially RDMA and Networking Technology) and should have an ability to quickly understand an issue and experience in Automation Framework Development using PYTHON with day-to-day scripting hands on is a MUST.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects
• Validate new SW features before releasing them to customers
• Contribute to a high-functioning feature team
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them
• Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• 4-10 years of valid software testing experience, ideally working at silicon or networking companies.
• Root causing system level issues with Code instrumentation
• Experience in automating test cases and working with automated test frameworksHands on experience with Python(building test framework /independent script) is a MUST Good to have a hands on experience in C/C++ Language
• Basic knowhow of Linux networking commands for basic configuration and debug.
• Experience in writing test plans and executing test cases
• Experience in networking(IPSec,Congestion Control,QOS,PFC) and RDMA technologies
• Knowledge of Ethernet & TCP/IP
• Good to have working experience in SmartNIC features (TSO/CSO/RSS/Multiqueue)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
