Missions
• Define, design and industrialize the optimal bonding equipment and process of plastic parts, closely with the machine suppliers
• Support project teams and plants to solve issues linked to the process efficiency.
• Increase the organization competency level regarding Bonding Process through : capitalization of Best practices / implementation of Methodologies / creation and animation of training modules.
• Ensure success of Innovation implementation in the plants
• Enhance the bonding equipment design and efficiency

Activities

For projects in quotation and development:
• Work upstream from technical feasibility study on, bringing its expertise in gluing application to the quotation team.
• Ensure that the technical choice is matching expectations on quality, efficiency and timing
• Secure proper application of Design for Bonding
• Validate key OPTIMAP Milestone
• Bring support to the project team for the integration of new production processes in plant
• Bring its expertise to the project team on the risk removal plan

Suppliers Follow Up
• Identify needs for new development and coordination with the suppliers in line with PO strategy

Network and Capitalisation
• Animate global bonding network activities
• Capitalize and communicate on feedback from Engineering Center and Plants
• Ensure technical exchange with other Departments like Injection, Material, and Paint ….
• Create and/or improve internal Standard

Golden Rules / Metier
• Ensure continuous technical benchmark through supplier discussion, fair and external networks
• Participate to the correct implementation of the standard by performing Audit Assessment in plants
• Carry out any necessary studies to establish Golden Rules and to lift risks linked to new technologies or new market demands and ensure industrial success

Innovation
• Investigate with Innovation teams on solutions to comply on OEM requirement and specificities, respecting the operational constrains
• Prepare the transition from Innovation to Production, through the first go-live projects monitoring and continuous capitalization

Training
• Create and/or update Bonding training modules
• Animate training session (global trainer)
• Participate to the increase of competencies of PO organisation though training and coaching

Technical support
• Bring its expertise to the project team on the risk removal plan
• Bring a technical support to the whole project team (development, production, suppliers, …) for any issue regarding Bonding Performance, in project phase, continuous improvement or to fix a technical issue
• Support Engineering Center Material Engineer for high severity projects, new customers and when required

Profile

Requirements : Master degree - fluent English - Knowledge in mechanics, plastic material and glue chemistry – Analysis / synthesis skills – Ability to communicate / report.

Background : 3-5 years significant experience in robotized processes or in machine manufacturing.

Job location : not mandatory Sigmatech - could be a worldwide location depending on profile
