Assistant Manager - Warehouse and Distribution (Wadduwa)

As the Assistant Manager - Warehouse and Distribution in our dairy processing plant, you will be entrusted with managing our FMCG warehouse and efficient distribution Island wide. You will be joining a team of experienced professionals in the fields Manufacturing/ Logistics Management and will pave your way for a mutually beneficial career within the Group. This position is based in our subsidiary company Richlife Diaries Ltd situated at Wadduwa.

Key job functions;
• Ensure effective, accurate, timely and safe Stock Management Process by optimum space allocation, effective stock transfers and physical safety of stocks.
• Establish and maintain an appropriate system for measuring and monitoring logistics and distribution operation.
• Monitor day to day stores and distribution functions via computerized systems and liaise with relevant departments for any improvements or performance issues.
• Update and maintain accurate and adequate data and transactions daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Follow-up distribution schedules, liaise with sales administration division and arrange required vehicles for deliveries on time.
• Maintain accurate distribution mileage records of vehicles and submit a monthly report for the payments.
• Ensure effective utilization of Staff members among stores and distribution functions.
• Liaise with the Finance division on monthly/ annual physical stocks verifications.
• Ensure all aspects of health and safety requirements of staff members and develop their skills.
• The ideal candidate should have the following prerequisites;
• A degree or diploma in supply chain / material management or logistics management from a recognized university or institute.
• Minimum of 05 years' experience in logistics management in manufacturing industry.
• Sound working knowledge in stores/logistics and distribution management procedures and documentation process Sound working knowledge on MS office/ ERP Systems.
