Houzeo is an online platform which lets home-owners sell their property by circumventing any traditional intermediaries. The platform enables users to create property listings & upload them to various portals, connect with local real estate professionals, use the provided dashboard to obtain property valuation, compare the value with other properties, avail market analysis reports, fill federal/state disclosures electronically, connect with attorneys/escrow companies, and more The company earns revenue by offering various monthly packages.
Houzeo is based in Manhattan, New York with offices in Charlotte, North Carolina (US) and Mumbai, India. Our founder is a finance, real estate, and technology veteran with an ivy-league MBA. We were showcased at the TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield in New York City. The startup is already profitable and experiencing double digit month-over-month growth. As we are building our brand, we are growing tremendously and launching new products to enhance customer experience and highlight partner services.

As Houzeo continues to grow, we’re looking to be the best source of education for all things real estate. We’re on the lookout for an experienced Content Editor with a passion for delivering error-free content. Along with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail, you must have a firm grasp of the English language.
The ideal candidate will know the difference between “it’s” and “its” and “cancelation” and “cancellation.” If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and understand what makes readers “click,” you’re who we’re looking for.
Responsibilities:
• Proofread blogs for syntax, punctuation, and grammatical errors (if any).
• Work with writers to increase the readability of content and make it engaging for an American audience.
• Improve content quality across Houzeo’s different growth channels.
• Optimize published blogs using SEO best practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Mass Media, or any other related field.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a content editor/writer.
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to find current authoritative sources and fact-check all information.
Bonus Points if:
• You have prior experience writing/editing American English.
• You have an understanding of American Real Estate
