Job Description
Core Competency:
Experience in developing native Android apps (depth knowledge of Android SDK, NDK).
Depth knowledge of SQLite and Room.
Excellent in JAVA, Kotlin language with a good debugging Skills.
Expert in using Android Studio and Git.
Developing universal application, which can run on most available android devices.
Must have good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
Good eye for mobile app design and product sense.
Experience in cross platform Tools like Appcelerator.
Motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment.
Good communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders.
Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
Experience of working on Android Studio.
Good in data structure and Algorithms.
Very Sound knowledge of Android Components.
Roles & Responsibilities
Top five roles and responsibilities would typically include:
• Mobile App Development: You will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality Android applications that meet the specific needs of energy and utilities industry clients. This includes writing efficient and maintainable code, implementing UI/UX designs, and ensuring compatibility with various Android devices.
• Feature Implementation: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, you will participate in the planning and implementation of new features for the SaaS product. Your role will involve understanding requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and leveraging your Android development skills to bring these features to life.
• API Integration: You will work on integrating the Android app with various APIs and back-end services. This may include integrating with utility data sources, payment gateways, or other third-party APIs. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring smooth data exchange, authentication, and proper error handling during API integration.
• Quality Assurance: You will contribute to the quality assurance process by writing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and performing thorough testing of the Android app. This includes identifying and fixing any bugs or issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience across different Android versions and devices.
• Continuous Improvement: As an Android app developer/engineer, you will stay up to date with the latest Android development trends, frameworks, and best practices. You will actively seek opportunities to enhance the app's performance, security, and user experience, and provide valuable input on improving the overall Android development workflow within the company.
Overall, as an Android app developer/engineer serving an energy and utilities cloud-based SaaS customer(s), your role is essential in developing and maintaining a robust and user-friendly Android app. You will actively contribute to the product's feature development, ensure seamless integration with APIs, uphold high-quality standards through rigorous testing, and continuously strive for improvement in the Android app's performance and functionality.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
A 4-year undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. However, exceptional candidates with a strong skill set, programming capabilities, and relevant experience may be considered, even without the traditional degree requirement.
