Role Summary:

Role: Linux System Administrator

Location: Ahmedabad, Surat

Shift: Should be flexible for shifts

Primarily responsibilities
• Primarily responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the DO EDMS Server - Policy servicing services available on top priority
• Responsible for the upkeep of the BO EDMS Server (Remotely access & support)
• Support case logging and to coordinate & collaborate with team to resolved within 48hrs Turnaround Time (TAT)
• Closely track the case with respect to Partner onsite engineer, Logistics delivery at site, HP Backend team Support Manager, SDM Responsible for the Batch DVD uploading within 8 hour on receipt from scanning centre
• Carry out the daily checks & activities in DO server & BO server Coordination with scanning centre for DVD receipt / error corrections DVD upload on DO server, BO DVD preparation, handover to customer, ATP signoff Check Environmental

Server Room Temperature & other listed conditions Check Power Related
• Daily routine server Health check Check MSA Data software mirroring Check routine drive functionality / any indicators of failures
• Carry out Weekly Checks and Activities in DO Tape drive routine Check / maintenance
• To carry out DO EDMS server Weekly Backup every Saturday & FULL Backup every Quarterly Cycle.
• LTO3 tapes cycle handling, cleaning tape usage, Monitor Policy Synchronisation Activity

DO-DO, BO-DO servers Support
• The Branch server backup Execution of Database
• Re-indexing Utility Execution of Database
• Vacuuming Utility Monitoring of Disk space/Partition Size check Log files purging
• Carry out the EDMS Application roll out activities of Utilities, hotfixes, patches and service packs as and when rolled out.
• Provide support for Helpdesk for resolving reported problems within TAT Discuss with the DO/BO IT programmers and provide feedback in understanding the logged case nature & problem description
• Obtain logs from the respective DO / BO servers
• Apply given solutions from backend team to the respective servers for problem resolution Follow up with the helpdesk team, Partner onsite team for all pending calls
• Escalate if cases are not resolved within TAT to Support Manager/ SDM
• Highlight the site related gap at LIC, at HP backend, partner engineer or any other reason causing delays to respective stakeholder
• Routine Checks on Environment in DO server room, upload report, Password & DVD Batch tracker, follow-up emails on support cases, Handling local escalations & support

Skills required:
• RedHat Linux experience, preferably RedHat
• Understanding of HP server, Storage controller, RAID Usage of HP system Server Management tools Collection of Logs from Server, Storage controller CLI logs
• Skilled to identify hardware component failure indicators, case logging with details HP Data protector Express

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
