JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in .NET as the backend technology to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have 5 to 8 years of experience in software development, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Design and develop software solutions using .NET as the backend technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to implement new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews to provide feedback to other developers.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
• You will work closely with the Development Team Leader in the successful delivery of projects across the full delivery lifecycle. This will include working closely with the product managers, business operations team, IR&F leads, architects, and developers, as well as liaising with key project stakeholders as required.
• Provide regular and effective progress updates to and work closely with the project's key stakeholders to ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues.

Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5 to 8 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in .NET as the backend technology.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional team.
• Contribute to Dev and DevOps process improvements.

Candidate Profile
• Humble and ambitious professional with strong fundamentals in all aspects including technology and project execution
• Excellent personal organization and ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks across projects of varying complexities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Team Player Recent, deep, hands-on experience in developing and testing web applications in any of the following tech stacks
• Asp.Net and Asp.Net core
• Strong experience in MVC, C#, Linq, and WebAPI
• Experience in Front end technologies like Vue or React or Angular
• Experience with SQL (Postgres or MSSQL) or No-SQL Databases
• Experience in Azure PAAS services like Functions, Storage, Queue, Topics etc.

Terms of Employment

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with Arete salary and benefit policy.
