Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

Power BI implementation, development, and administration.
Building Analysis Services reporting models.
Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
Publishing and scheduling reports as per the business requirements.
Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence (building ELT procedures) within Power BI & SSIS.
Implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.
Producing DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
Handling BI reporting & development requests.
Contribute to effective use of Business Intelligence through engagement with key stakeholders, providing excellent insight to drive correct working behaviours.
Drive better understanding of the value of data with the stakeholders and users and contribute to improvements in data management and data quality.
Qualifications Required :

Tech: Power BI, DAX, M-Query, T-SQL, SSIS, Excel & VBA
Experience in working with SQL query building is essential. (SSMS)
Experience with visualisation tools such as - Power BI –Tableau – Qlik is essential
Strong knowledge of MS Excel with a sound understanding of VBA
Working experience in SSIS
Experience driving data quality and process improvements
Ability to comprehend and interpret contractual requirements
Been involved in the introduction/maintenance of reporting platforms within a business.
Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation.
Experience in developing custom visuals for Power BI.
Although not essential a knowledge of a programming language such as R or Python could prove to be advantageous.
Experience : 4 to 5 years
