Position Purpose
The Support Analyst will provides the Monitoring, Support, Investigation, Troubleshooting, Incident Management and Problem Management in multiple technologies and applications. Manages existing systems and subsystems, which applications and business streams rely on, and is responsible for troubleshooting in his/her area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
. Installing, configuring and maintaining RHEL 6 and above
. Knowledge in Unix cluster / Veritas cluster server management
. Knowledge in storage concepts and Multipathing
. Knowledge in Application servers like tomcat and WebSphere
. Configuration and administration of Logical volume manager.
. Linux server performance analysis and monitoring tools
. Knowledge in Linux shell scripting
. Good in documentation and maintain knowledge base
. Work in 24x7 support model and be a good team player.
Contributing Responsibilities
1. Level 2 support activities in managing Linux servers and backup tools
2. Troubleshooting system level issues in enterprise applications hosted in Application servers
3. Implement processes /scripts to monitor Disk/Filesystem size, health checks, etc.,
4. Perform Security level activities including creating logins/users, assigning roles-permissions etc.
5. Troubleshooting issues in UNIX/Linux cluster environment

Solid experience in various domains of solutions delivery (BFSI systems) and service delivery (server, network infrastructure and information system security etc.) is preferred.
Basic Knowledge and clear understanding of IT infrastructure on desktops/Thin Clients/Servers/networks.
Ability to comprehend customer's technology needs.
In-depth understanding of the linkage between financial services, Information Technology and business value.
Ability to develop solid business cases for implementing business enablement project.
Excellent customer orientation and strong relationship management skill.
Good management, coaching and staff development skills.
Creative and analytical ability in problem resolution and Decision making skill.
Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skill.
The individual will be required to travel and work at various BNP Paribas locations in order to fulfil their duties as part of the IT team.
Technical Skills :
Good SQL knowledge
Advanced Linux & Unix knowledge
Other technical skills will be preferred.
Good Understanding of Application architecture
Strong understanding and working experience in Windows
Good understanding and working experience in any of the scheduler tools
Strong Project Deployment and Technical Documentation skill
Exposure / knowledge of ITIL practices ( though preferred but not essential at this stage )
