About the role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive. To achieve this, we are seeking a talented Web Applications Developer to join our Digital Solutions Tribe. This tribe plays a crucial role in addressing societal issues and driving sustainable growth.

As a Web Applications Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications hosted on SharePoint, using SharePoint lists as a backend database. Along with jQuery, HTML, and SharePoint, you will also leverage Python in your development work. Your responsibility is to deliver high-quality web applications that align with our business needs and objectives.

A key part of your role is collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional software solutions. You will adhere to best practices in coding and ensure all applications are developed to a high standard. You should stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and continually seek to improve your skills and our development processes.

Who Are you?

A skilled developer with proficiency in web development technologies, particularly jQuery, HTML, and Python

Experienced in developing and maintaining applications on SharePoint

Comfortable using SharePoint lists as a backend database

Excellent communicator and collaborator

What will your day look like?

Develop, test, and deploy robust, responsive web applications using jQuery, HTML, Python, and SharePoint

Maintain existing web applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes or enhancements

Use SharePoint lists as a backend database for storing and retrieving application data

Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional software solutions

What will you bring?

5+ years' experience in software engineering with proficiency in web development technologies,particularly jQuery, HTML, and Python.

Extensive experience in developing and maintaining applications on SharePoint.

Experience in using SharePoint lists as a backend database.

Knowledge of SharePoint APIs and experience in integrating them with web applications.

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
