Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team at our Pune Office. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing the detailed drawings for an electrical power, control and instrumentation systems for the equipment within the plant. Your expertise will contribute to the best efficient design operation of our client’s cement production processes.

Responsibilities:

· Design and develop electrical systems for cement plant equipment, including motors, control panels, switchgear, and distribution systems.

· Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.

· Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations in all design activities.

· Participate in the selection and procurement of electrical equipment and materials.

· Maintain accurate documentation of electrical designs, modifications.

· Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering and industry best practices, incorporating them into design processes and standards.

· Preparation of Project SLD in Auto CAD, along with all relevant calculations such as Sizing of the transformer, distribution boards, electrical cables, LT panels etc. for Industrial and Solar Rooftop projects.

· Verifying, Commenting and Approving of the HT/LT Panel/ Transformer Drawings from vendors.

· Calculation of Voltage Drops and Selection of Proper Size cables and Preparation of Cable Schedule in MS Excel and estimation of cable lengths.

· Preparing Cable Tray Layouts in AutoCAD considering sizes of the Cables to be carried in Trays including estimation of tray lengths.

· Preparation of Earthing Layouts in AutoCAD and Estimation of Earthing Material.

· Preparation of Lighting Layouts drawings in AutoCAD including Conduit layout & Distribution Board SLD.

· Preparation of Quantity Variation Statements between customer specified Qty and as per the design qty’s.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree (B.E. or B-TECH) in Electrical Engineering.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in a cement plant or heavy industrial environment.

· Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, motor control, and PLC systems.

· Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).

· Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g.IS, NEC, IEC).

· Experience in performing electrical calculations and creating technical specifications.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
