Job Description

I. POSITION SUMMARY

Lead the Construction Engineering effort. Provide Construction engineering inputs to Design and Engineering team. Should participate and contribute in Engineering review like Plot Plan Design /3D model etc. Should be able to conduct Constructability review during proposal and Execution Phase, provide construction sequence and value engg inputs Prepare Construction Execution and Sub-Contracting Strategy. Should be able to prepare RFQ packages and Techno-commercial evaluation. Provide strategies for construction sequencing/ heavy lift activities Develop winning construction strategies by understanding of the competitive environment and successful working with customers, suppliers, and contractors. Should be self-driven for the Construction of Class 3/4 level Project. Manage Professional Relations with all Stake Holders like PM/PEM/PPM etc.

II. DIMENSIONS:

Should be able to lead and drive construction engineering activities. Should be able to Interpret contract standards and construction codes towards client and construction contract. Should be able to solve construction problems and register & evaluate engineering deficiencies (if any) on site. Should be able to contribute to Change Management towards contractors/client in case of contractual deviations. Should be able to monitor & control the construction activities as per schedule & contract terms & condition. Should Implement AP Safety and Quality Standards on Construction site Should Participate and lead the Risk review workshops.

Iii. Principal Accountabilities

This position is accountable for the following end results:
• Should be Result oriented and support the Construction Site team.
• Monitor and Control the Construction work from Commencement till completion and handover.
• Able to handle the contractor performance in line with the contract requirement.
• Ensure Safety & Quality Performance for the construction activities at Site.
• Construction execution within Cost and Schedule.
• Able to coordinate interfaces with other disciplines.
• Ensure proper hand over of work areas. Regular participation in construction meetings.
• Assist in developing the project and construction schedule

Iv. Minimum Requirements And Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent from reputed Institute
• Minimum 15-20 years of Experience in Process Plant Construction activities.
• Experience in Construction of Process Plant, Refinery, Petro-Chemical Industry,

Experience In ASU Plants Will Be Preferred.
• Hands on Experience in Modularization will be advantage.
• Experience of AWP (Advance work packaging) will be preferred

V. Skills

Excellent English language proficiency required. Self-starter and proactive team player. Good business communication and interpersonal skills. High ethical conduct. Proficiency in MS office tools like Word / Excel / Power points. Hands on experience in latest Construction Management tools/ Planning Software. Should be familiar with contract and legal requirements
