Job Description: As a Light Truck Driver at Dencol (India) Private Limited, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials within Kolkata. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a light truck while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards. You will work closely with our logistics team to ensure efficient delivery routes and maintain the condition of the truck.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safe Driving: Safely operate a light truck to transport materials to designated locations within Kolkata and the nearby areas.
2. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials onto the truck, ensuring proper handling and securing of the cargo.
3. Route Planning: Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency, considering traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and client requirements.
4. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts. Complete all required paperwork and reports.
6. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and handling inquiries or concerns professionally.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear and securing loads properly.
8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
Valid Light Truck Driver's License.
Proven experience as a light truck driver.
Knowledge of Kolkata and its surrounding areas.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
Excellent driving record with no traffic violations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
