Splunk Developer
Bangalore, India
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days notice
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement Splunk solutions to meet the organization's data analytics and monitoring needs.
- Customize Splunk Apps and dashboards
-Proficient in Splunk Query Language
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and system administrators, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain Splunk apps, dashboards, reports, and alerts to provide actionable insights and facilitate decision-making.
- Configure and optimize data inputs, parsing, and indexing processes to ensure efficient and accurate data collection and indexing.
- Create and manage data models, knowledge objects, and field extractions to enhance data analysis capabilities.
--Implements integration with external system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Splunk with other systems and tools, such as data warehouses, SIEM solutions, or IT service management platforms.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of Splunk applications and infrastructure to identify and resolve issues.
--Builds advanced visualizations
- Stay updated with the latest Splunk features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance the organization's Splunk implementation.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders on Splunk-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong experience in developing and implementing solutions using Splunk Enterprise, including Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), Splunk App Framework, and Splunk Web Framework.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing various aspects of Splunk, such as data inputs, parsing, indexing, and search optimization.
- Knowledge of IT operations, security, and network infrastructure concepts.
- Experience in scripting languages like JavaScript is a must for Splunk automation/customization and integration.
- Experience in scripting languages like Python /PowerShell is a plus
- Familiarity with data modeling, field extractions, and data normalization techniques in Splunk.
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL queries.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Splunk certifications, such as Splunk Certified Developer, Splunk Certified Architect, or Splunk Certified Admin, are a plus.
