Position: Land Evaluation Specialist (Account Specialist)

Experience: 1-3 years of experience

This position is a full-time remote position (working from India reporting to Canada office), working time – EST + am to 5 pm.

You will be supporting our efforts in markets around the U.S. (currently Northeast and Midwest) supporting Maximumlease’s customers/landowners.

What will make you busy? Project siting, planning, and zoning policy review, planning application submissions, abutters relationships management, and supporting the development of solar and energy storage projects.

Your Accountabilities:

Contact the inbound leads(landowners), assess the requirements of the landowners, and qualify the site based on various functional, environmental & technical requirements.

Should be able to work on mapping, siting, evaluating and verifying the land using various methods and tools in the US market.

Prepare necessary report based on the valuation and the information gathered to arrive for a conclusion of qualified or nonqualified leads.

Prepare sketch plans, site plans, and preliminary drawings using various tools such as ArcGIS, Google Earth, and CAD; draft applications for access permits, building permits, and other approvals.

Support due diligence on compliance with planning and regulatory policies related to solar project development and SPG business activities.

Support the development of proposals and presentations related to the planning and zoning policies.

Collect, analyze and manage various geospatial data.

Land identification and generating a high volume of prospects using software tools as applicable and creating the prospect lists.

Managing a full cycle development process from land analysis, project siting, regulatory compliance, interconnection management to notice-to-proceed readiness.

Handle the energy developers accounts across State and to act as bridge between the qualified leads and the developers.

Track the progress of the leads on various stages.

Qualifications and skills:

Thorough knowledge and understanding of planning principles, concepts, practices, methods, and applicable legislation.

Understanding and knowledge of the zoning plans, standard concept plans, solar ordinances, Site Plans, Minor Variances, Consents, and Zoning Amendments.

Experience with planning and development applications, documents, and studies and identify how they are affected by Authority regulations, policy, and program interests.

Successful completion of a university degree in Geography, Planning, Land-use and Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related discipline.

Knowledge and experience of ArcGIS would be an asset.

Minimum one (1) year of experience in land-use planning and land-use management, experience with planning in the US would be an asset.

Experience consulting with regulatory agencies in the US and Canada would be an asset.

Experience researching, interpreting, and analyzing legislation and policy documents.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Work effectively in a fast-paced working environment.
