Outline India focuses on catalysing the work of academics, think tanks, corporate social responsibility arms, not-for-profits, funders, and the Government of India. In the last ten years, we have worked on over 200 evaluations in 2+ all Indian states and union territories, across over 60,000 villages, representing 5 million stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, settings, and sectors, intending to include their needs, opinions, and views to draft and inform the work of our partners and policymakers in a better way.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Kannada-speaking Qualitative Research Consultant to join our team and contribute to our research efforts in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should be open to conducting field studies, adept at Qualitative research and should be fluent in Kannada.

Responsibilities:
• Review the research tools and analysis plan included in the assessment protocol
• On-field qualitative data collection
• Qualitative data analysis and report writing
• Understand the study objective and study tools
• Review the translation of the tools to make them more colloquially relevant
• Review of tools received from client and translation of the same
• Field mapping, planning, training, and execution
• Identifying stakeholders on the field
• Travelling to the field to conduct training, fieldwork monitoring and coordination, interviews, focus group discussions, etc. as required.
• Lead field training
• Literature review, design, and pilot survey instruments and tools
• Assist the research team in developing training material for the field team
• Collaborate and contribute to the company's new research projects/ ideas

Qualifications:
• Graduate/ Post Graduate with 3 to 5 years of experience in Qualitative Research
• Proficiency in Kannada language, both written and spoken, is essential
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to critically evaluate information
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and execute research projects
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Openness to conducting field studies, including travel to different locations as required.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and reliable research outputs.
• Excellent communication skills in presenting research findings
• Familiarity with research methodologies
