Video Editor

We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the stakeholders. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting.
Utilize a combination of creativity and technical skills to enhance the quality and appearance of footage.
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to ensure the video's continuity and add a polished look.
Review scripts and raw material to create a storyboard that aligns with the overall vision of the project.
Collaborate with stakeholders (producers, directors, etc.) to understand their goals and expectations.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, etc.).
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
Experience with motion graphics and visual effects.
Knowledge of color grading and finishing techniques.
Ability to understand and translate complex ideas into concise, engaging visuals.
