Job Description
Job Description: The ideal candidate is a seasoned chef with a background in bulk cooking. The client is a company that supplies food to a chain of hospitals in Hyderabad, operates 12 cafeteria counters, has an in-house bakery, confectionary, chapatti production unit and central kitchen (in the heart of Hyderabad) delivering over 3,000+ meals per day! They are seeking an experienced Sr CDP / Assistant Executive Chef to join their kitchen team of 35. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the production planning, menu engineering, and profit and loss management of the bulk kitchen. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain menu offerings that meet the dietary needs of hospital patients • Manage food production and service operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment • Monitor food quality and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation • Manage and train kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food service workers • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining high-quality food standards • Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean, organized, and meets all food safety and sanitation standards • Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to increase revenue and profitability Qualifications: • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Sr CDP or 2 years Asst Executive Chef in a large kitchen. • Prior experience working in a hospital or school environment is a big advantage. • Proven experience in production planning, menu engineering, and running a profit and loss statement • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations • Experience managing a team of chefs, cooks, and food service workers • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality and safety standards • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred • If you have a passion for culinary excellence, are experienced in managing a high-volume corporate kitchen, and have prior experience in a hospital or healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity by reaching out to Original job Assistant Executive Chef posted on GrabJobs ©.
