Cath Lab Technician

• Prepare the catheterization laboratory (cath lab) for procedures by setting up equipment, ensuring sterility, and arranging supplies needed for cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures.
• Assist physicians and nurses during catheterization procedures by passing instruments, operating imaging equipment, and monitoring patient vital signs.
• Provide care to patients undergoing cath lab procedures, including positioning patients on the procedure table, administering medications as directed, and monitoring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Operate and maintain cath lab equipment, including fluoroscopy machines, angiography systems, and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
• Capture and analyze imaging data obtained during catheterization procedures, including angiograms, fluoroscopic images, and intracardiac echocardiograms (ICE), to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.
• Document procedure details, patient information, and imaging findings accurately and promptly in the medical record, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental protocols.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures to minimize the risk of patient and staff exposure to radiation and bloodborne pathogens during cath lab procedures
