Maintenance Manager

About the company:

We are establishing a state-of-the-art first-ever Li-ion Cell Gigafactory in India and we seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Equipment Maintenance Manager who will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of our advanced battery cell manufacturing Electrode equipment. You'll have the opportunity to take care of the maintenance of the new 24/7 critical Electrode equipment.

Purpose of the Job:
• This critical role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and optimal performance of production equipment across all stages of the Electrode section from Electrode slurry preparation through Coating to Laser notching.
• PM implementation & development, ensuring that equipment is regularly inspected, serviced, and calibrated according to industry standards.
• Establish, update, and maintain spare parts inventory. Identify and order needed parts, and maintain a tracking system.
• Building team bonding, safety and technical training & development, coaching, and succession planning.

Key Internal Interfaces (If Applicable):
• Production Department: Aligning maintenance schedules with production targets to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Procurement: Coordinating with procurement to source spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance activities.
• Health and Safety: Collaborating on safety protocols, and risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during maintenance operations.

Key External Interfaces ( If Applicable ):
• Vendors and suppliers: For sourcing spare parts, equipment, and specialized services.
• Contractors: For outsourced maintenance work, specialized repairs, or project-based tasks.

Educational Qualifications & Experience (for the job/ of the candidate)

Graduate/ Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering

Years of Experience: (Please detail the depth and breadth of the topics that one should have been exposed to during the tenure in previous organizations):
• Hands-on Experience with Maintenance of high-end Automation process equipment like Mixers and coaters with Servo actuators.
• Through knowledge of Servo units which include LM guides, Ballscrews & other slide mechanisms.
• Knowledge & troubleshooting in Hydraulics & Pneumatics elements, pressure transducers, etc.
• Knowledge & maintenance of high-speed Rollers, Shafts, Dies, and Chain/Belt drive mechanisms.
• Troubleshooting in PLCs, automation robots & Vision/Inspection Equipment.
• Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems & MES for tracking maintenance activities and scheduling.

Preferred/Desired Skills:
• Maintenance of high-end Automation equipment with Servo units.
• Maintenance of high-speed Rollers, Shafts, Dies, and Chain/Belt drive mechanisms.

Relevant Experience (If Applicable):
• Years of Experience: 8+ years of relevant role experience.
• Work experience in a highly automated process industry like the textile or rubber industry is an added advantage.
