Financial Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a sharp and motivated financial analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, building financial models, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Location: Chennai

Responsibilities:

- Construct financial models to forecast future revenue, expenses, and profitability

- Create three statement models to project income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.

- Support with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities by preparing financial models

- Work on new geographic expansion financial modeling

- Convert a business problem in financial model and solve through scenario analysis to support decision making

- Analyze historical and current financial data to assess a company's financial health and performance.

- Prepare financial reports and presentations to communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences.

- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process

- Conduct industry research to identify trends and benchmark the company's performance against competitors.

Qualifications:

- MBA/ CA (CFA certification or course on Financial Modeling a plus).

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial modeling, analysis or a similar role.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in financial data, ratio analysis

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and modeling techniques; should be passionate about creating excellent financial models

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, good in MS PowerPoint

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
