Senior Manager | Supply Chain Management

Job Description
• Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies,

standards, regulations, or laws
• Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning,

inventory control, warehousing and receiving
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders
• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain

activities
• Ensure timely and accurate order booking, follow up for timely delivery through rail / road / air
• Conduct demand forecasting analysis for on time Stock replenishment
• Inventory and warehouse management to track stock ageing and ensure storage of material in a safe

environment
• Build a robust network of logistics to ensure accurate timley dispatch, ensure timely sharing of

dispatch details with stakeholders and perform stock reconciliation
• Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining dispatch schedules or consolidating

warehousing and distribution; ensure lowest transportation rates
• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste and optimize

service delivery
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes
• Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors,

such as On Time Performance
• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas -

Operations, Marketing, Finance, Quality Assurance
• Identify opportunities for cost rationalization and implement measures to enhance overall

profitability
• Mentor and guide the Supply Chain Team to foster a conducive work environment and healthy

interpersonal amp; inter departmental relationships
