Lead Tableau Developer

Responsibilities:

As a Tableau Developer, you will play a crucial role in creating and managing data visualization solutions using Tableau. Your primary responsibilities include:

· Design and Development: Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports in Tableau according to user requirements. This involves translating business needs into technical specifications and ensuring data integrity.

· Data Source Integration: Connect Tableau to various data sources, both real-time and batch data, to provide accurate and up-to-date visualizations.

· Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex data sets and interpret them to create effective visualizations that convey insights clearly.

· Wireframes and Templates: Develop wireframes and report templates to guide the design process.

· Collaboration with UI Developers: Work closely with UI developers to embed Tableau views into web applications seamlessly.

· SQL Skills: Read and write SQL statements to create data sets used for reporting.

· Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot report discrepancies and performance issues to ensure smooth functioning.

· Client Interaction: Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand client and product requirements.

· Documentation: Document reports, data, and processes thoroughly.

· Testing and Deployment: Test Tableau solutions in multiple environments and assist with deployment.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

· Education and Experience:

o Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent industry-related professional experience and education.

o At least 12 years of experience in any data reporting framework or business intelligence reports.

· Tableau Expertise:

o A minimum of 10 years of experience with implementing Tableau solutions.

o Proficiency in designing dashboards and data visualizations.

· SQL and Database Skills:

o At least 8 years of experience with SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing.

Additional Skills:

o Familiarity with embedding Tableau views in web pages.

o Experience in data analysis and data discovery.

o Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

· Agile development experience.

· Knowledge of Azure SQL.

· Experience with Azure Data Factory or other ETL processes.

· Team handling experience
