Job Introduction

If you're in search of a career working with entrepreneurs on the topics of taxation, management, and accounting; while building lasting relationships with colleagues, at a growing CPA firm, we are the firm you're looking for! We are currently in search of a staff accountant I who is looking to continue their career in accounting and taxation for privately held businesses and their key executives. This individual will be responsible for client communication and providing our core services of tax preparation, tax projections, tax planning, and client accounting services. This team member’s work will be supported by bookkeepers and tax preparers.

Qualifications and Preferences

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in tax, accounting, or business-related field.

· Desire to pursue Enrolled Agent or CPA license.

Professional

· 1 year’s work experience preferred.

· Prior experience with accounting and tax preparation preferred.

· Experience with QuickBooks and tax software preferred.

· Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Solid verbal and written communication skills, a must.

· Able to follow standard operating procedures and work-paper templates.

· Self-motivated.

· Seeks advice from appropriate team members regarding any issues that arise.

· Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.

· Works well in a team.

· Advanced knowledge of accounting rules and principles.
