LHH is partnering with a dynamic team at a stable and rapidly growing manufacturing and ecommerce company based in Carlsbad to hire a Senior Staff Accountant. Position Overview: The Senior Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in owning the monthly close process, preparing financial statements, managing reconciliations, and overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Responsibilities:
• Own the monthly close and financial statement process, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Close the books monthly and prepare comprehensive financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows).
• Conduct Balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings.
• Undertake other ad hoc projects and analysis as requested by senior management.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online accounting system is required.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.
• Experience in the manufacturing or ecommerce industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
