Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager - ICONIC Seattle Brand
Target Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 depending on experience
Position Overview: A dynamic and forward-thinking organization is seeking a driven and curious Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to join our team. This role is instrumental in the evolution of our finance function, with a focus on modernizing financial reporting, analytics, accounting, and other key processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
General Ledger Accounting:
• Take ownership of all aspects of general ledger (GL) accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
• Support tax administration (e.g., excise, property) and coordinate with external auditors.
Treasury Management:
• Oversee cash management activities, including cash flow projections to optimize liquidity and funding needs.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Collaboration and Leadership:
• Manage month-end and quarter-end processes, interacting with auditors and other stakeholders as needed.
Process Improvement and Internal Controls:
• Identify opportunities for enhancing financial processes and lead implementation efforts.
• Design and improve internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Previous or current experience in Big 4 firms/large regional accounting firms or medium/large company experience required.
• Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
• Demonstrated experience in the listed duties and responsibilities.
• Strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, perform analysis, and propose solutions.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Demonstrated strong partnering skills.
• Ability to work well with finance team and cross-functional team members.
• Communicate effectively and often in all mediums.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines and drive reprioritization efforts as needed with management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with internal control design and improvement.
• Familiarity with financial and business data concepts and uses.
• Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides).
Key Competencies:
• High energy and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Driven with a strong work ethic.
• Structured and organized, with the ability to manage workload, key dates, and deliverables.
• Adaptability, able to easily pivot tasks based on business needs and management direction.
Additional Details: This position requires in-person attendance at our corporate office. The interview process includes an initial phone interview, followed by in-person interviews, and concludes with a live case study to assess problem-solving skills.
