Tax Accountant

Job description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax planning strategies
- Assist clients with tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Analyze financial statements and identify potential tax savings opportunities
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of debits and credits, as well as accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software for data entry, analysis, and reporting
- Experience in general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions, corporate accounting, and private equity transactions
- Ability to work with various tax software programs such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Quicken
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
