Job Description
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Controller, the Accountant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liability. Additionally, the Accountant will track and report on various financial activities within the organization, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. By providing timely and accurate financial insights, the Accountant will support Constellis' overall mission to deliver integrated risk management and operational support solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly recurring/adjusting journal entries to the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and procedures
• Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for assets and liability accounts and ensure their timely completion on Blackline
• Ensure all journal entries and account reconciliations have appropriate audit trail support
• Prepare monthly account analysis and research to ensure accuracy and understanding of account balances and activities
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Assist with preparation for year-end audits to include preparing schedules, providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data
• Participate in special projects as required
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, in particular).
• Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Detail and deadline-oriented self-starter.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
• Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
