We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Smithfield, Virginia. The role involves various tasks related to accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The selected candidate will work onsite and be an integral part of the team, ensuring financial operations run smoothly.Responsibilities:• Process and manage a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis• Prepare and distribute checks to vendors in a timely manner• Execute account reconciliation tasks for accuracy and completeness• Maintain open communication with vendors to address any issues or discrepancies• Record and manage journal entries in the accounting system• Maintain and update the general ledger as needed• Complete month-end close procedures efficiently and accurately• Utilize software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial processes.
