We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team at Moji Holding. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting and finance functions of our restaurant chain. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the financial success of our fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper classification of transactions.
• Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses to identify trends and areas for cost savings. Work closely with management to develop and implement expense control measures.
• Bank Reconciliation: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons. Provide insights to management to support decision-making.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Audit Support: Support external auditors during the annual audit process. Provide documentation and explanations as needed.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function. Implement changes as directed by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the restaurant industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is preferred.
