Senior Accountant

Description

Immediate Senior Accountant opening for a growing, dynamic PE backed company based in the West End of Richmond, with hybrid work schedule. This role involves managing complex spreadsheet-based processes, applying financial accounting concepts to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger, and operating in a time-sensitive environment without needing constant supervision. Exceptional background in journal entries, account reconciliations and financial close.

Responsibilities
• Oversee spreadsheet-based computations for journal entries including amortization schedules, adjustments between prepaid and accrued accounts, and receivable collection and evaluation.
• Administer account reconciliation process by scrutinizing balance sheet account balances and assembling clear support for activity.
• Collaborate with the Finance department to identify variances and either provide explanations or post correcting entries.
• Partner with IT department to rectify systemic issues and ensure the effective functioning of financial systems.
• Recognize and take ownership of process improvements. Update and maintain effective internal control processes and procedures.
• Handle other crucial tasks as directed by your supervisor.
• Use skills such as Prepaid Account, Account Reconciliation, Amortization, NetSuite, Financial Statement, Financial Statement Preparation, Royalties, Financial Consolidations

Requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency in Prepaid Account management
• Extensive experience in Account Reconciliation
• Strong knowledge of Amortization processes
• Proficiency in using NetSuite software
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation
• Experience in Financial Consolidation
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred
