Staff Accountant

Job description
Assist with month-end accounting close procedures, journal entries, as well as quarter-end reconciliations of general ledger accounts. Assist with financial statement audit request and treasury management functions as needed. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data, as well as other projects as assigned.
• Assist with the month-end accounting close procedures and financial reporting requirements
• Prepare month-end and quarter-end reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Prepare month-end journal entries
• Perform all fixed asset related accounting and maintain SAGE, Companies fixed asset tracking software
• Assist with financial statement audit requests
• Assist with treasury management functions as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data
• Special projects as assigned
• Entry level to three years experience
• Associated degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree, preferred
• Strong written and oral communication, organizational and analytical
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• Ten key by touch
• Ability to work in a high volume, high demand corporate environment
• Required to sit for long periods of time.
• Infrequent light physical effort required.
• Work with computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones.
• Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• May be required to work extra hours to meet deadlines for financial statements and other projects when needed.
