Payroll Accountant

Job description
We are offering a 6-month contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a remote Payroll Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This role is centered on managing and processing payroll for both U.S. and international employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The successful candidate will use their knowledge of Accounting Software Systems, Workday Payroll, ADP Smart Compliance, and ideally Deel to enhance our payroll process, administer garnishments, and assist with audits.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process payroll for both U.S. and international employees using Workday for US and Deel for International.

• Employ ADP Smart Compliance for accurate calculation and processing of tax and garnishment administration.

• Streamline the payroll process for global employees through Deel.

• Manage employee garnishments such as child support, tax levies, and other court-mandated deductions.

• Create and sustain payroll reports and documents, including tax reports, payroll summaries, and compliance papers.

• Assist in internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documents and clarifications.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ADP Workforce Now for efficient accounting functions.

• Oversee 401k - RRSP Administration and Compensation - International.

• Ensure accurate processing of Payroll - Garnishments and ADP - Payroll.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledge of 401k and RRSP Administration
• Familiarity with core Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing
• Understanding of Compensation, particularly on an international scale
• Experience with Payroll, including Garnishments
• Proficiency in ADP Payroll
• Knowledge of International Payroll
• Experience with Workday Payroll
