We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate performs general accounting functions, assists in maintaining and consolidating financial statements, prepares and records financial transactions accurately into the general ledger system (JDE), and assists with budget preparation. Ensures compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedure
Duties:
Performs all functions in a manner that upholds the reputation and high quality standards of Castle & Cooke; act ethically in all internal and external business activities; establishes and contributes to supportive, creative, enthusiastic and cooperative working environment; complies with all company policies and standards.
• Manages accounting operations based on standard accounting principles.
• Records transactions into the general ledger, and prepares financial statements.
• Audits financial transactions, reconciles accounts, corrects entries as authorized.
• Calculates depreciation, allocations, and sales commission, and journalizes entries.
• Conducts month-end close process, prepares project reports and reporting package.
• Summarizes and prepares analysis worksheet comparing budget to prior year actual.
• Prepares state and federal tax schedules.
• Maintains and reconciles Fixed Assets system.
• Records transactions –maintains cash receipts and sales journal.
Experience and Skill
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Five (5) years experience in accounting analysis in real estate related field.
• Knowledge of standard fundamental accounting principles, methods, and applications.
• Experience with G/L function, and account balance and reconciliation skills.
• Analyze and interpret financial data, prepare reports, statements and projections.
• Strong attention to detail, good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
• Effectively work independently and as a team
• Advanced knowledge on accounting software, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
